People often take an interest in particular celebrities and treat them like royalty. This happens commonly with people but not typically in reference to an athlete. In Columbus, however, the opposite seems to be true when it comes to Ohio State football players.

As the end of the quarter steadily grew nearer, the word “snapshot” rang throughout the Upper School. Whether it was said with distress, exasperation, ridicule, or confusion, it quickly became commonplace in our vocabulary.

The Columbus Academy has changed, and changed for the better. No, we’re not referencing the construction, as much as we all enjoy the sound of drills and backhoes in the morning. We are talking about the positive leadership that has tremendously altered the attitude of the student body.

On Saturday, October 24, the girls team had an impressive 4th place finish, with a score of 86, behind competitors Northmore, Fredericktown, and Fairfield Christian. Audrey Grammel’17 led the team with a 2nd place finish and a time of 19:42.66.

Esteemed New York restaurateur, Danny Meyer, recently announced a no-tipping policy in his full-service restaurants, instead opting to raise prices by as much as 20%-25%. Meyer, 57, owns famous eateries such as Union Square Cafe, Gramercy Tavern, and the popular burger chain Shake Shack, which is not to be affected by the new policy.

The Ohio Senate has recently passed a bill to defund all Planned Parenthood operations within the state. This bill is now moving on to the Ohio House for consideration.
