On Friday, February 20th, the boys and girls swim team both received District Team Runner-Ups. Head coach, Coach Craig Yascoe, says, “Everyone swam very well. We had about 90% personal record swims on Friday. It was a very exciting meet all the way through with fantastic performances by our swimmers who represented CA very well!

Boys Take Sectionals in Swimming

On Saturday the 14th, the boys swim team raced against 16 opponents for the division 2 Sectionals title. Academy led the way with a team score of 302, nearly 120 points ahead of the runner up, Granville. The boys relay team of Le’17, Dreisbach’18, Goldfarb’17, Warren’17 won the 200-yard medley relay and the 400-yard freestyle

Girls Win Swimming Sectionals

This past Saturday, the girls swim team won the Division 2 Sectionals title by 45 points. Abby WIlson’15 won the 100 and 200-yard freestyle, Anya Kone’15 won the 50-yard freestyle, Audrey Grammel’17 won the 100-yard breaststroke, and the team won the 200 and the 400-yard freestyle relay (Anya Kone’15, Sydney Brault’16, Sarah Campbell’16, Abby Wilson’15).
