Academy’s  girls track team ran its way to another strong showing at the Hamilton Township Invitational on April 29. The girls finished fourth out of 11 teams, with 73 points. Several girls posted impressive results against some tough competition.

  The CA girls lacrosse team has been undefeated against CSG for the past five years, including a shut out last season. This dominance has not hindered the teams’ competitiveness, however. Excitement and anticipation heightened as Vikes looked to face their long-standing rival on Thursday, April 28.

The Vikings dominated the baseball diamond this week, standing at 12-0 in the MSL Ohio league. On Monday, April 25, the boys cruised to victory against Worthington Christian, winning 14-1.

On Monday, April 25, at Amanda Clearcreek, the Vikes swept away Marietta, winning the match 5-0.

As the final days of the school year roll in, the seniors seem to be holding on to every last moment. The same sentiment went for this week’s girls lacrosse games, creating more memories for the seniors to cherish.

On Wednesday, April 20, the boys lacrosse team faced perhaps its toughest opponent of the season in St. Francis DeSales (6-1). After matching the Stallions goal for goal in the first half, the Vikes lost steam early in the third quarter, allowing DeSales to pull away and eventually win, 13-8.

The past week was a strong one for the boys tennis team. The Vikes swept the courts, defeating Granville, Grandview, and West Jefferson, 5-0 and winning every court in just two sets. On Tuesday, April 19, the CA girls track team won a home meet against Fairfield Union, Patriot Prep, and Wellington. The Vikes secured a 52 point victory, outpacing second place Fairfield Union by a sizable margin.
