Tails Wag As You Sip Coffee

Good News! There’s an all-new hangout place for your pooch and you. This past March, Columbus’s first indoor-dog park, Tail Wags Playground, opened for business. The unique venue features a coffee bar for productive or sleepy owners, and, of course, a play area for their furry friends to socialize while wandering freely.

Movie review: “Miracles From Heaven”

As the credits rolled, I sat in the theatre chair surrounded by people with tears streaming down their faces. I too was crying. Not only had my faith strengthened spiritually, but it grew stronger in the belief of the goodness in people and in the promise of blessings.

Solo and Ensemble Ratings

On Saturday, February 15, musicians from all corners of Academy performed in the Ohio Music Education Association’s Solo and Ensemble Competition. Each student or group was assigned a rating after performing. The ratings go from 1-5, with 1 being Superior. The rankings for the Band, Choir, and Orchestra solos and ensembles are listed below.

Starbucks is All Heart

From  February 8 – 14, Starbucks will feature three limited edition drinks. If you missed out on these signature beverages, you may have to wait another year or just add and subtract the chocolate chips, the espresso, or the chocolate drizzle.

Middle School Strings Fest a Success

A full-sized orchestra is usually made up of 70-100 musicians. In school-aged orchestras, these numbers can be even fewer. Each year, Academy’s middle school orchestra teams up with Wellington and CSG’s middle school orchestras to form one group of around 150 musicians.
