Boys Track: First Meet and First Win of the Season

Last year, the boys track and field team had a successful season, despite a lack of numbers. After winning the District and Regional Champion titles, the team placed third in the 2015 Ohio High School Athletic Association State Track and Field Meet.

Boys Swim Team Dominates at Districts

On Friday, February 19, the boys swim team won the Division II District Championship for the second time in the school’s history. The team finished with a score of 397, 144 points ahead of the second place finisher, Dover.

Swimming: Boys’ Winning Streak Ends

The CA boys swim team faced tough competition this weekend, putting its winning streak on the line. Academy competed against Saint Charles Preparatory and Madison Christian on Friday, February 5, and then competed against Dublin Coffman on Saturday, February 6.

Back into action after a three-week break with a meet on Friday, January 8, and another on Saturday, January 9, the boys first competed against Teays Valley at home and won every event and finished first with a score of 115, 61 ahead of Teays Valley. On Friday, December 11, the varsity teams competed in a home against Newark Catholic and Village Academy. The girls placed first with a remarkable performance and a score of 208 points and placed first in all but two events. The boys were outstanding  with a score of 287 points, coming in first in all of their

X-C State Meet

On Saturday, November 2, the boys and girls cross country teams wrapped up their season as they competed in the Division III State Cross Country Meet at National Trail Raceway.

X-C Going to States

On Saturday, October 31, the boys and girls cross country teams competed in the Regional Championships at Pickerington North High School.

Cross Country Places 2nd and 4th at Districts

On Saturday, October 24, the girls team had an impressive 4th place finish, with a score of 86, behind competitors Northmore, Fredericktown, and Fairfield Christian. Audrey Grammel’17 led the team with a 2nd place finish and a time of 19:42.66.
