Varsity Swimming

On Friday, December 11, the varsity teams competed in a home against Newark Catholic and Village Academy. The girls placed first with a remarkable performance and a score of 208 points and placed first in all but two events. The boys were outstanding  with a score of 287 points, coming in first in all of their events.

On Saturday, both teams competed at the Ohio State McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion in the Ned Reeb Memorial Invitational.

The boys competed against 36 teams from all over Ohio and finished in 6th place with a score of 166 points, falling to Cincinnati Saint Xavier, Saint Charles, University School, Upper Arlington, and New Albany. Nate Goldfarb’17 finished second in the 100 breast stroke, Max Dreisbach’18 finished fifth place in the 200 free, and Jacob Eismann’19 finished fifth as well in the 100 backstroke.

The girls faced 37 teams and ended up finishing 19th with a score of 102 points. Sarah Campbell’16 led the team with a strong fourth-place finish in the 100 backstroke. Audrey Grammel’17 also represented the team with twelfth place finishes in the 100 breaststroke and the 200 medley relay.
