Swimming: Boys’ Winning Streak Ends

The CA boys swim team faced tough competition this weekend, putting its winning streak on the line. Academy competed against Saint Charles Preparatory and Madison Christian on Friday, February 5, and then competed against Dublin Coffman on Saturday, February 6.


On Friday, the team dominated and won first place with a score of 662, 183 points ahead of Saint Charles Preparatory. Jacob Eismann’19 won the 200 and 100-free with a time of 1:52.67 and 0:50.39, respectively. Jack Campbell’19 won the 100-butterfly with a time of 0:54.40. Campbell also won the 100-back with a time of 0:55.28. Raymond Cao’17 won the 500-free with a time of 5:22.87, and Tin Le’17 won the 100-breast with a time of 1:10.46.

On Saturday, the Vikes finished second–by 54 points–behind Dublin Coffman. Eismann won the 50-free (0:22.84) and Max Dreisbach’18 won the 100-butterfly (0:55.91).

The team’s sectionals is at home on Saturday, February 13, at 3pm.
