Last year, the boys track and field team had a successful season, despite a lack of numbers. After winning the District and Regional Champion titles, the team placed third in the 2015 Ohio High School Athletic Association State Track and Field Meet.

Girls Lacrosse: One Win and One Loss as Season Begins

It was a roller coaster of a first week for the Academy girls lacrosse team. On Tuesday, March 29, the girls dominated rival Bexley in a 15-4 victory. The defending state champs, a title that typically scares away any opponent, were confident heading into the state final rematch against Chagrin Falls on Saturday, April 4.

Bowling Teams End Season

The bowling team’s season came to an end on Thursday, February 18, with a strong but  insufficient performance at Districts. The boys team and individual girls could not land themselves in the top two places of the final rankings: a standing required to move on to the state tournament.

Girls Swim Team Heads to States

On Friday, February 20, the girls placed second overall in Districts. The team heads to states  at the C.T. Branin Natatorium in Canton this week. (Please see event schedules below.)

Boys Swim Team Dominates at Districts

On Friday, February 19, the boys swim team won the Division II District Championship for the second time in the school’s history. The team finished with a score of 397, 144 points ahead of the second place finisher, Dover.
