Boys Lacrosse Falls in Season Opener

On Friday, April 1, the boys lacrosse team traveled to Dublin Scioto to take on the Fighting Irish in its first game of the season. Despite fighting hard, the Vikes failed to come away with a victory, losing 13-5. The final score, however, was not indicative of the game’s competitiveness, as Academy was trailing just 8-5 when the Irish pulled away.

Freshman defender, Dalyn DeCree said, “We weren’t sound enough on defense. They were able to find opportunities to get good shots off, and we can’t expect to win many games if we continue to allow double digit goals.”

The Vikes are looking to rebound with their first win of the season at home against Westerville North on Monday, April 4.
