Baseball: One Win, Three Losses

Academy opened up its week by hosting Marion-Hardin on Monday, April 26. The game was a fight from the start, prompting extra innings as the 7th ended in a tie. Baseball Shows Out

Academy baseball went 3-1 last weekwith some decisive wins.  The Vikings started out the week on Monday, April 19th, beating Madison Christian 19-0 at home. Then, the team traveled to Johnstown on Tuesday, April 20th, and Whitehall on Friday, April 23rd, securing 6-4 and 28-0 wins, withsSenior pitcher Jake Podgurski throwing a no-hitter against Whitehall.

Gyvnn Mendenhall and Tiko Bdyoan advance to Districts

Our wrestling team competed in sectionals over the weekend, February 27-28, at Madison Plains. Gyvnn Mendenhall placed 2nd and Tiko Bdoyan placed 3rd in their respective weight classes, earning them a spot at Districts on Friday and Saturday, March 5-6, at Coschocton. Ethan Stahl also secured 6th, however did not place high enough to advance

Wrestling falls on Senior Night

The wrestling team hosted Buckeye Valley during its Senior Night on Thursday, February 11. Although the matches were competitive, with Ethan Stahl’21 and Gyvnn Mendenhall’22 taking away victories, the meet resulted in a loss. The Vikings look to bounce back this week against Bexley on Tuesday, February 16 and against Whitehall on Thursday, February.
