Baseball opened up this week at home on Monday, April 12, against Bexley, trying to get revenge for last week’s loss. Academy kept the game close at the start, but eventually Bexley picked up steam and won 11-2.

The Vikings then hosted the Wellington Jaguars on Wednesday, April 14. It was a done deal from the start as Academy run-ruled them in five innings to take the 26-0 win.

To round out the week, Academy played Bishop Watterson at home on Thursday, April 15. The game went back and forth, with Academy taking the lead in the 6th and then a tie in the 7th, forcing extra innings–but coming up short in 8th–losing by 11-9.

Still, that leaves the Vikings with strong momentum heading in to this week, when  they face Madison Christian at home on Monday, April 19, before traveling to Johnstown-Monroe on Wednesday, April 21, and Whitehall on Friday, April. Their record remains positive at 4-3.
