After losing just one senior last year, the girls basketball team is ready to pick up where it left off. The girls’ scrimmages on Thursday, November 17, kicked off the Vikings’ season with enough players for dedicated varsity and JV teams.

The boys wrestling team got rolling last week with seniors Jeremiah Mills and Anthony Sugar voted as its team captains. Sugar is out presently, due to an injury, so the boys will have to step up if they wish to repeat last season’s success.

After a gut-wrenching loss to Centerburg in the second round of the playoffs last season, the CA boys basketball team is looking to erase the bad taste in its mouth with a district championship this year.

Girls soccer has never won a regional semifinal game, and after a thrilling overtime victory in the district championship, the 2016 squad beamed with confidence going into its matchup against Bishop Rosecrans on Tuesday, November 1.
