Latern Festival in Shanghai, China Every year, lasting for 15 days and starting from the first day of the lunar calendar (around the end of January or the beginning of February), people from countries all over the world celebrate Chinese New Year. 2017 is the Year of the Rooster, and it begins on January 28.

After the one of the most successful seasons with a talented and driven baseball team, the Columbus Academy Vikings fell to Fairbanks 8-1 on Monday, May 16,in the district semifinals, ending their season on a disappointing note.
