Junior Elle V. traveled to Canton to dive in the Ohio High School Athletic Association’s Division II State Championship on Thursday, February 22. Hosted at the Branin Natatorium at 9:00 a.m., Elle competed against 32 other female divers from 23 other schools in Ohio.

After scoring 163.10 in the preliminaries and 260.20 in the semifinals, she moved to 8th place before the last round. She then took her final dive of the official season, scoring a 347.10 and placing 10th out of the top 16.

Elle and the rest of the diving team had an impressive run all season. While diving is an individual sport, the team represents Academy well at competitions. The Diving Vikings have no seniors this year, and it will continue to work hard for the 2024-2025 season.
