Bingo Goes to Bundy Advisory

On Tuesday, October 31, Academy’s Service Board concluded its 2023 Food Drive with its annual advisory Bingo game. Gathered in their homerooms, every advisory joined the zoom and waited for Dr. Losambe and shapers calling out the selected items.

The winning advisory in each grade would receive a dress down day and a free lunch. After two false wins from Mr. Farrenkopf’s advisory and Dr. Lester’s advisory, Dr. Bundy’s seniors screamed “BINGOOO!” on the zoom call after Dr. Losambe called their last item, “evaporated milk (3).” With a Bingo leftward diagonally across their board, the Bundy advisees secured greatness (which they know all-too-well) with pasta (8), canned and dried beans (3), flour (3), breakfast bars (3), and evaporated milk (3).

The seniors were so exhilarated and screamed so loud in excitement about their win that Dean Thompson even put in the group chat, “excessive celebration penalty” as a joke. Other final winners per grade were the Bening, Farrenkopf, and Feinberg teams.

Following the excitement, students counted their items and packed up boxes to stack in Senior Lounge before the next step of Night In, when volunteers unpack all of the boxes to examine expiration dates, sort, group, and package up for a final time.
