Club Fair Sparks Connections and Interests

(Melanie Q./Staff)

On Friday, September 1, students returned from their Service Day activities and attended Club Fair on the Lazarus Courtyard, where 52 tables feature a club or affinity group led by at least one student representative. Club Fair began as a way for every Upper School student to have an easy-access day to explore all of the clubs and affinity groups that Academy has to offer. As a school that strives for inclusion, joining a student-led organization is a great way to connect with people in other grades and explore your different interests.

In addition to last year’s roster of 40+ clubs and affinity groups, Student Council organizes Club Fair and approved of 11 new organizations: Youth Health and Analytics, Musical Performance, Club Penguin, Car, Latin Dance, She’s the First, Pickleball, Astronomy, Disco, Mandarin Students, and Comic Book.

If you did not have the opportunity to sign up for as many clubs as you would have liked to, or you did not see it at the fair, then you can reach out to a leader or a faculty advisor. You can wait for the emails that will be sent out regarding time and place for meetings.

If you wish to start your own club, go to the Viking Hub Google Classroom to request one!
