The Columbus Academy boys soccer team faced one home and one away game last week.

On Wednesday, August 31, the boys tackled 2022 Division III state champions, Grandview Heights, with the Vikings scoring a fine 3-1 win against the Bobcats on Hondros Field.

Junior Dante R. kicked off a strong start with a first goal followed by another from sophomore Brian A. nearly 25 yards away. With 25 seconds left in the first half, senior goalie Evan S. made a close save, keeping the Vikes in the lead. Brian A. brought home a third goal. Then with 7:35 left, the Bobcats were granted a penalty kick which brought their team its first and only goal.

On Saturday, September 2, the team traveled to Bishop Watterson, ending with 0-0, a first tie on the record. Shoutout to junior Seth L. who subbed for goalie Evan S. and kept the Bobcats from a score.

The boys face Worthington Christian away on Wednesday, September 6.
