Junior Speakers Selected to Speak for PACA Event

(Angela H./Staff))

On Wednesday, March 8, Lance H. and Zaina A. presented their junior speeches to the attendees at the PACA (Parents’/Guardians’ Association of Columbus Academy) March Parent Forum in the fireside of the Dining Hall.

Parent forums are a PACA tradition and are held on the first or second Wednesday of each month during the school year. PACA events are open to all parents or guardians of CA students and is a great opportunity for families to engage in and learn more about school life in our three divisions.

This month’s forum highlighted the tradition and graduation requirement of the Junior Speech and the third grade’s Wax Museum, a crowd favorite, with students dressed up a historical figures and delivering several minutes worth of information about their favorite people.

Zaina and Lance were selected by the Junior Speech teacher, Ms. Seymore, for their noteworthy and heartwarming addresses.

“Delivering my junior speech to the PACA felt just as rewarding as it was when I gave it to the Upper School. I loved sharing my message with the parents and hoped I eased their nerves about one of Academy’s greatest traditions,” said Lance.
