Science Olympiad Places 41st at OSU Invitational

On January 22, the Science Olympiad team competed in the Ohio State University Invitational and ranked 41st. The team placed 14th in Anatomy and Physiology, 21st in Chem, and 23rd in the “Wright Stuff.”

Because Academy didn’t have builds or teams for every event, it landed the low scores which weighed heavily against us. That most of our olympiad memebers are underclassmen, the team is expected to only get better.

Dr. Nandor advises the team, whose next competition in regionalswill be hosted at New Albany’s Middle School on Saturday, March 5. If Academy scores in the top 50%, it will head to states, which will be held virtually at Academy.
