The Profound Impact of the Food Drive

Community service is an important aspect of our Columbus Academy values, for it allows us to reflect on the ways that we help those outside of our walls. Following the half day on Thursday, October 13, over 15 upper school students devoted 2 hours to folding, taping, and delivering boxes to every classroom in the school. Within the next month, these boxes will store the food that everyone in the community collects for the food drive, and the items will go to local, low-income families and food pantries.

Under the direction of Latin teacher and Service Board Director, Ms. Bening, the Service Board is working hard to supply local families in need. Assist the food drive this year by signing up for upcoming events, and feel free to contact Ms. Bening with any questions!
