Our Vikings improved to 8-4 with a series of three wins this week: the team’s fifth win in the last six outings.

On Tuesday the 19, the boys matched up against Grandview. Seniors Brady Hess (11 points) and Jared Kass (10 points) set the tone, leading the team to a 40-32 win.

The team carried that momentum into its game against Central Crossing on Wednesday the 20, with Hess (10 points) and Kevin Reeves’22 (11 points) at the front of the offensive charge in the 40-32 win. Junior Tanner Compton impressed with his quick feet, leaping at moments for the steal.

On Saturday the 23, the boys faced a competitive team in Elgin. In this heated possession game, the Vikes prevailed in overtime, winning 46-40. Reeves netted 11 points and put up 7 rebounds. Hess again had a notable performance, notching 10 points himself.

Hess shared his thoughts on the season thus far and said, “We’re coming together and learning how to finish and win games. we’re maturing as a group, and it will serve us well in the long run.”
