On Tuesday, January 12th, the boys suffered a tough loss against rival Bexley at home.
Despite holding a 4 point lead at halftime, the Vikes could not hang on after falling short on crucial shots. In the 33-39 loss, senior Brady Hess was the leading scorer with 10 points.
The Vikes rebounded after this off-performance with new intensity against Wellington.
The boys traveled to Wellington on Friday, January 15th. Remembering two excruciating defeats against the Jaguars from last year – one of which being a buzzer beater – the boys showed no mercy, winning 50-37. Sophomore Kevin Reeves owned the court, netting 19 points with 16 rebounds.
Now 5-4, the boys seek to improve their record with a packed week. They will match up against Grandview on Tuesday, January 19th, Central Crossing on Wednesday, January 20th, and Elgin on Saturday, January 23rd.
