As the Thanksgiving holiday draws near, Academy is faced with yet another challenge: how to stop the spread of the coronavirus after students travel during the break.
This past weekend, the school resumed its 50% capacity, given Franklin County’s rise in virus cases.
With only a few weeks until the winter break, Academy is doing all it can to avoid the risk of a school-wide spread.
Although virtual classes are a safer option, learning over Zoom can lead to lesser engagement and require a greater concentration as on teachers attempt to keep their students engaged.
As the decrease in this week’s attendance shows, Academy continues to find a happy medium between keeping its community safe and ensuring its students enjoy school.
