On Monday, October 5, our girls golf team teed off at Darby Creek for Districts.
Our girls were facing off against a tough opponent in CSG, who is the defending Division II champions.
Grace Luo led the team with a 83, followed by Eva Baker (94), Angela Hu (96), Eliza Freytag (101) and Morgan Crain (105).
Although the team could not match CSG’s score (346), it had a breakout season nonetheless.
On Tuesday, September 22, at Westchester, the team finished 1st in the MSL-Ohio Division postseason tournament — ahead of four other teams, including CSG.
This season, our girls went 13-3, finishing second in the final standings to CSG (15-1).
The Vikings finished up the season as the District Runner-Up, with Grace Luo’23 finishing second individually. The rest of the team impressed, with league honors going to Luo and Eva Baker’23 (1st Team), Angela Hu’24 and Elize Freytag’23 (2nd Team), and Morgan Crain’23 (Honorable Mention).
