Students, families, faculty, and friends gathered at Academy for the 35th annual Charlie David Dinner on Friday, September 22. As always, the event was a smashing success with endless options to entertain attendees of all ages.
At the Boardwalk, bubbles flew, eager children gobbled up donuts suspended on strings, scooters whizzed throughout mazes, and the sounds of roller-chair ball chairs colliding ricocheted throughout Jones gym.
These games were just a few of the many activities offered by the
Upper school club and student organizers featured a variety of activities to earn funds from the event.
In the dining hall, guests were treated to a tasty City Barbeque meal, organized by numerous parent volunteers. Tables displayed silent auction prizes, with all proceeds going towards the school’s athletic department.
The night culminated in a sound victory by the Academy football team, cheered on by a packed stadium of fans.
But the Charlie David Dinner is more than simply fun, food, and football.
It is a tradition that always succeeds in bringing together the Academy community to support of our school and its 61 athletic teams.
