On Tuesday September 6, fresh off from a long holiday weekend, the boys soccer team lost by one point to it biggest rival: Worthington Christian.
Despite the defeat, the Vikings still showed a strong performance and gave the crowd an exhilarating game. Jack Ostrowski’18 scored the first goal of the night off of a penalty kick. After his goal, the team faced a 4-1 deficit until Conner Brown’18 scored a striking outside shot and Evan Scott ’19 scored a goal from a cross, closing the gap to a narrow 4-3.
The boys exhibited elevated levels of teamwork and confidence after these goals, but, unfortunately, ran out of time before clinching a victory.
