The boys tennis team played three Division I teams, winning each match with impeccable skill and talent.
On Tuesday, May 3, the Vikes defeated Dublin Coffman 5-0, leaving the Shamrocks in the dust. Junior Sid Menon had an exceptional victory in third singles, winning his match 7-6, 7-6.
For Wednesday’s match on May 4, the Vikes faced Worthington Kilbourne and easily acquired a 4-0 win.
The boys continued this momentum for Friday’s match against Walsh Jesuit, defeating them 5-0.
During their final week of school, seniors Hirsh Hede and Jacob Wareti contributed to the supremacy of the team by winning all three of their matches.
After a great season, the team defended its league title, winning the MSL tournament for the fifth year in a row.
The boys will play New Albany on Tuesday, May 17, and they are excited to have students support them as they play one of their most challenging competitors.
