On Tuesday, April 5, the boys tennis team dominated Whitehall with a 5-0 win. First singles Jacob Wareti’16, second singles Austin Lawrence’17, and third singles Hirsh Hede’16 all won their court 6-0, 6-0.

First doubles pair, Eric Min’17 and Michael Qi’17 defeated their opponents 6-0, 6-1. In second doubles, Sid Menon’17 and Drew Haffer’19 won their match 6-0, 6-0.

Menon said, “We’re working hard both on and off the court, and I think we’re playing well and are continuing to improve with each match. This next week will be tough with some big matches, but I think we’ll be able to rise to the occasion.”

The boys’ hard work and determination should foreshadow a strong season ahead.

The Vikes play Wellington on Monday, April 11, Worthington Christian on Tuesday, April 12, St. Charles on Thursday, April 14, and University School and St. Xavier on Saturday, April 16.
