Debate team captain, Michael Retchin said, “The tournament was double-elimination, so if we ever lost two rounds before the Final, we would be knocked out of the tournament. We lost our first round, so it was a very intense experience, because the threat of losing another was always there. It was very much a come-from-behind win for us.”
