The Vikings placed second in the MSL preseason tournament, losing to Bexley. Academy won its own tournament at Columbus Country Club by 2 strokes ahead of Wellington. Captain Vincent Dong’16 shot a tournament-low 69.
At its first 9-hole match against Bexley on August 25, Sam Vogel’18 tied the school 9-hole record after shooting 33.
On August 27, the boys played against Gahanna Lincoln at Little Turtle. Drake Budzik’17 led the team with a score of 40.
At their match on Saturday, August 29 at the MSL midseason tournament at Turnberry Golf Course, the boys earned a second place.
On Sunday, August 30 at Muirfield Village Golf Club, the Vikes came in 4th out of 8, with a notable performance from Tejas Sinha’18, who tied the school’s 9-hole record of 33.
