Back into action after a three-week break with a meet on Friday, January 8, and another on Saturday, January 9, the boys first competed against Teays Valley at home and won every event and finished first with a score of 115, 61 ahead of Teays Valley. On Friday, December 11, the varsity teams competed in a home against Newark Catholic and Village Academy. In the second game of the season, Academy’s boys basketball team faced off against one of its toughest opponents, Whitehall, on Friday, December 4. Varsity Swimming

On Friday, December 4th, the girls lost to Bishop Watterson 65-105. Seniors Sydney Brault and Sarah Campbell, Audrey Grammel’17, and Jane Li’18, led the team with strong swims. Brault won the 500 free, Campbell won the 100 back, and Brault, Campbell, Grammel, and Li placed first in the 400 relay.

Wrestling Starts Season Strong

On Saturday, December 5, the wrestling team participated in two different tournaments. Captain Calvin Wuorinen’16 and Anthony Sugar’17 wrestled at St. Francis DeSales, while the rest of the team wrestled at Groveport Madison.
