The girls soccer team arrived back to campus this August with a discouraging outlook on the season ahead. After losing key players and plenty of injuries and illnesses,15 humble players remained to fill a sole varsity team. Thus, the girls anxiously anticipated a grueling fall filled with lengthy games and tired legs.

A familiar feeling swept across campus this week. After a first round bye, the girls lacrosse team prepared to defend its state title in the district tournament, and anticipation grew for Friday, May 20, when the girls would take the field against Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy.

As the school year eases to an end, the excitement around spring sports builds up.  The girls lacrosse team finished its regular season against tough opponents in preparation for a pressing postseason ahead.

Numerous times throughout the day, I scroll through my twitter feed. The wide array of content includes informative news, jokes that make me laugh out loud, and thought-provoking positions on large-scale issues, all described in 140 characters or fewer.

The girls lacrosse team faced a demanding matchup this past week against St. Francis DeSales on Thursday, May 5, for the Central Independent League title. With two of the top teams in the state facing off for the championship, this contest was bound to have a thrilling narrative.

  The CA girls lacrosse team has been undefeated against CSG for the past five years, including a shut out last season. This dominance has not hindered the teams’ competitiveness, however. Excitement and anticipation heightened as Vikes looked to face their long-standing rival on Thursday, April 28.
