Boys Tennis Season Preview

At sectionals on February 18, the boys ended their season, with junior Michael Reagan placing 52nd out of 169 bowlers. On Wednesday, February 8, the girls bowling team ended its season with a tough 1608-1241 loss to Bishop Ready. In her final match as a Viking, senior Maggie McCann performed at her best, along with juniors Abby Jeffers and Izzy Bettinger  finishing with the top scores on the team. Weekly Bowling Update

(Photo/Maggie McCann’17. Media team.) Both the girls and boys bowling teams competed against Grandview Heights on Wednesday, February 1. The boys began this month with a tough loss. On senior night, the Vikes fell to Grandview with a score of 1936-1696. Senior Nick Smith continued his terrific season, as he bowled an average of 163.5.

For both the boys and girls bowling teams at Academy, this last week was a busy one. Both teams bowled four matches over four days, facing Northland, Columbus International, Linden-McKinley, and Bishop Hartley.
