A familiar feeling swept across campus this week. After a first round bye, the girls lacrosse team prepared to defend its state title in the district tournament, and anticipation grew for Friday, May 20, when the girls would take the field against Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy.
In dominating fashion, the Vikes soundly defeated their opponent 20-4 with goals coming from 12 different players.
As the tournament rolls on, however, competition grows tougher and stronger. On Monday, May 23, the girls host Worthington Kilbourne in the quarterfinals.
While the girls defeated Worthington Kilbourne 12-10 earlier this season, it will be no easy task as their opponent has proven to compete with the best.
The Vikes set out to battle for another postseason victory this week with plenty of talent and experience under their belt.
