The CA girls lacrosse team has been undefeated against CSG for the past five years, including a shut out last season. This dominance has not hindered the teams’ competitiveness, however. Excitement and anticipation heightened as Vikes looked to face their long-standing rival on Thursday, April 28.
Our girls handled their CSG counterparts with an impressive ease of 12-3 win. Seniors Lily Rizk and Lottie Smith led the way with four goals each.
The girls face a demanding week ahead. They face St. Francis DeSales on May 5, standing at 10-1 of the season and ranked as one of the top teams in the state. Only adding to the hype, DeSales’ only defeat came from Chagrin Falls, a new but, nevertheless, tough Academy rival that handed us a difficult loss early this season.
If the girls can take care of DeSales, they are one step closer to another shot at Chagrin in this year’s Division Two State Tournament.
