Last year, the boys track and field team had a successful season, despite a lack of numbers. After winning the District and Regional Champion titles, the team placed third in the 2015 Ohio High School Athletic Association State Track and Field Meet.
This year, the team has increased its numbers and is “looking to be competitive in every meet and improve from last year,” says senior captain, Logan Baker.
The squad’s first meet was on Thursday, March 31, at home against Horizon Science Academy. The team won with 89 points, 51 points ahead of Horizon.
Baker said, “It was a good chance for everyone to gain some meet experience.”
The team competes again on Monday, April 4, against Worthington Christian at Grace Brethren Church.
