The boys and girls bowling teams have had matches on Monday, December 7, Wednesday, December 9, and Thursday, December 10.
On the 7th, they played against Whetstone at the Sequoia Bowl. The girls lost by 500 pins, with Sophia Anasis’18 leading the team with a total of 266 over both regular games and averaging 133 pins. The team averaged 583.5 pins in the regular games and 97 in the baker games. The boys team also lost by a narrow margin of 41 pins. Our lead bowler was senior Emre Kahraman, with 369 pins. The team’s average 843.5 843.5 for the regular matches and 196.5 in the Baker games.
On the 9th, they played Linden McKinley at High Performance Lanes. The girls brought home a victory, with lead bowler, senior Yasmine Kashubeck with 294 pins, averaging 147 pins per regular game. The girls averaged 127 in the Baker games. The boys also won their match, with Aaron Brown’16 gaining 184 pins over the two regular games. The team totaled 391 pins in the Bakers game, giving them a final total of 1850.
The game on the 10th was against multiple opponents. The girls won by a narrow victory of 16 pins. Lead bowler was Kashubeck, again, with a 283. The boys were victorious against both Grandview Heights and St. Charles, with a 2194, tying Academy’s school record. Sean Reagan’16 ended with a 216.5 in the regular games.
The teams square off again on Wednesday, January 6, at 4:00pm, at High Performance Lanes against Beechcroft High School. Come out and support our bowlers!
