In fewer than two weeks, Indiana governor cracks under public pressure to correct the Religious Freedom Restoration Act. Amendments to the laws meant to assure that RFRA will allow no discrimination.
While the original gave businesses a window for selective service, the updated law prevents them, “from using the law as a legal defense for refusing to provide services.”
For the first time, Indiana law also recognizes sexual orientation as it prohibits judgement based on, “race, religion, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or Unites States military service.”
Arkansas followed Indiana and too adjusted their legislation.
