After 13 years of construction, One World Trade Center, the nation’s tallest building, finally opened on Monday with publishing giant Condé Nast moving in 175 of its employees. Condé Nast is expected to move in around 3,000 more employees by early 2015, eventually occupying 25 floors of the 104-story tower. Big names like Anna Wintour and David Remnick, editor in chief of Vogue and The New Yorker respectively, will move into the $3.9 billion tower in the next few months.
One World Trade Center will become a new landmark for New York and also the United States. The tower, which has a concrete core, has leased about 55% of its office space to 6 tenants. The views from the top floors of the tower are breathtaking. People can not only see all of Manhattan, but also parts of New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
