With the commencement of tournament season two weeks ago, our girl’s team embarked on the road to states. The girls team entered post season with a record of 10-5. To start their journey, the girls played Pleasant whom they beat 10-0 and Tree of Life whom they defeated 9-1. After they  whisked by those teams, they had to face a challenge in the District semi-finals, Worthington Christian. In the first half, the girls struggled to find each other, and their passing was not on target. At halftime, the Warriors and the Vikings were tied 0-0. With 20 minutes left on the clock, Worthington scored its first goal. The Vikings struggled to put the ball in the net but did not return the goal to equal the score. The team played much better in the second half, but Academy couldn’t stop  two later goals scored by the Warriors to finish the game 3-0. It was a difficult end to our girls’ great season.
