Album: Cope

According to Paste Magazine, Cope is made up of “Soaring guitars, intricate melodies and Andy Hull’s often-cryptic yet relatable and introspective lyrics.” Manchester Orchestra’s previous albums have also embodied this sound. The songs are fast and short, but its one downside is that all of the songs sound similar causing them to be a blur and blend together.

Salad Days is Mac Demarco’s sophomore album, which is fitting for listening to on long, lazy days in the sun. The slow mix of guitar, bass, drums, keyboards and relaxed lyric tones will keep everyone happy. The entire album seems to have lyrics placed perfectly in the melodies and feels like Demarco created it with a personal, careful touch.
Album: The New Classic

The New Classic was released just in time for summer. It’s an album about the story of Iggy Azalea’s ascent to fame. According to Complex Magazine, her verses are well-written, in terms of their shape, cadence, and structure, but the lyrics are too nonspecific as result in having no real meaning.

After Hours is an album full of high energy, radio-ready party anthems and showcases the duo. Shapiro’s vocals are on point. He can rap, ad lib, sing, belt it out, and hit some crazy notes with his falsetto. After Hours will put you in a good mood and get you moving so give it a listen. It’s been on repeat all week!
