Whether you’ve seen it, you’ve probably heard about the movie, Gravity. Sandra Bullock and George Clooney star in the new film directed by Alfonso Cuarón. The heart-pounding thriller takes place deep in space where Dr. Ryan Stone (Bullock) and Matt Kowalski (Clooney) are on a mission to repair the Hubble telescope. When debris destroys the telescope as well as their shuttle, the pair is forced to find a way home or face the loss of their lives.
While many times, astronomical movies tend to be artificial looking or can even be nauseating, the film work in Gravity is so precise and realistic, it gives viewers a feeling that they are sharing the space adventure with Clooney and Bullock. The most impressive thing about Gravity isn’t only its phenomenal technical features, but its emotional features as well. Bullock and Clooney pull viewers into space along with them. The entire time you will be on the edge of your seat wondering if they’re going to make it out alive or not. The film mastery and impeccable acting function together to create a movie experience of a life time. The film allows viewers to relate to a time they lost all hope and wanted to give up but found a way to persevere. That is what Gravity is all about.
Considering the film made a whopping $56 million in its opening weekend, it clearly is one you have got to get out and see. We’re giving it a full five stars so if you’re wanting something to do on these cool fall nights, Gravity is a definite solution.
