Girls tennis celebrated its two seniors on Thursday, September 24, and advanced in the OHSAA team-states tournament following a 3-0 win against Marietta on Friday, September 26

Senior Night celebrations took place on Thursday, September 24, honoring Lara W. and Sophie W. Intending to be a pre-match ceremony, the event took at 4:30 p.m., prior to the first serve against Whitehall-Yearling. Because of rain, the match was postponed and the celebration was moved indoors to the Dining Hall. 

On Friday, September 26, the girls beat Marietta to advance in the OHSAA team-states tournament. In first singles, Gabrielle S. swept her opponent 6-0, 6-0, and the same was for Ella T. in second singles, as she claimed victory 6-0, 6-0. Iris S., in third singles, clenched the Vikings 3-0 win with a near-perfect 6-1, 6-0 match.

On Monday, September 29, the team plays against Upper Arlington and will begin the Division II sectionals on Tuesday, September 30, going until Saturday, October 4.
