Field hockey earned back-to-back wins last week, shutting out opponents both on the road and at home. On Tuesday, the Vikings defeated the CSG Unicorns 3-0 thanks to two goals from Bebe S. and one from Ashley H. On Thursday, they carried the momentum into another 3-0 victory over Bexley, with goals scored by Bebe, Alicia L, and Ashley.

The Vikings jumped out to an early start when Bebe found the back of the net twice in the opening minutes. Ashley then added another goal to extend the lead, and Academy’s defense held firm to secure the shutout.

Two days later, the Vikings faced Bexley and again controlled the match from start to finish. Bebe scored first, followed by a strong finish from Alicia. Ashley sealed the game with the third goal. Academy’s midfield kept steady possession, while the backline kept the Lions from generating any real scoring chances.

With two straight 3-0 wins, the Vikings continue to build momentum in their season. They are back in action on Monday, September 15, against Thomas Worthington, followed by a matchup with Dublin Jerome on Wednesday, September 17.
