The Lady Vikes had a busy mid-season week with three matches. They kicked off on Tuesday and came out on top (2-0) against Fairbanks. ChiChi N. and Lexi F. secured the Vikes their two points. Sophomore Lianna L. earned Player of the Match, creating helpful plays and setting the team up for success on the field.
Following this victory, the girls travelled Worthington Christian on Thursday and suffered a 4-5 loss. Sydney S. had an impressive two goals, granting her the title of Player of the Match. Seniors Harper B-M. and Allison F. also scored.
Moving on, to assert a home record of 5-0, the Vikes defeated the Buckeye Valley Barons at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. With an assist from Lianna, Lexi found the net and scored the team’s lone goal. Additionally, Izu played fearlessly on the field and received Player of the Match.
Looking forward, the Vikings 6-3-1 record will be challenged as they head to Bishop Hartley at 7:15 p.m. on Monday, September 15, to prepare them to face our rivals, the Bexley Lions, on Wednesday, September 17, at 6 p.m.
