Girls lacrosse welcomed Thomas Worthington for its first matchup of the week on Monday, April 14, in a back and forth game, with neither team pulling ahead until the end. The Vikes were down 10-11 to the Cardinals with time winding down when a Kyndal S. buzzer beater sent the game into overtime. The teams continued to go neck and neck until Thomas Worthington rifled off a goal in the last eight seconds to win the game.
The Vikes were back in action on Thursday, April 17, when Academy hosted theLions, hungry for a win. The Vikes came out strong, scoring seven goals and holding the Lions to one goal in the first half. Bexley bounced back in the second, scoring five goals, but the Vikings did not let up and tallied six more goals. The Vikes left with a convincing 13-6 victory over the Lions.
The girls are back in action on Tuesday, April 22, as they host Bay. On Thursday, April 24, they will travel to Granville. To end their week, they will face off DeSales on Saturday, April 26.
