With a few weeks remaining for seniors, time is fleeting for grade-wide bonding, so they are making the most of it, hosting a Senior Picnic Potluck on Friday, April 5. Headed once again by Melanie Q, with last-minute help setting up from Kouros R. and Datse T., the class was in for a memorable night. First, Melanie had to coordinate a date with Ms. Demarco so no sports were set to have games and then work with Mr. Dow to get it on the student calendar.
The food included Romeo’s pizza, salami roses, buffalo chicken dip, Jimmy John’s subs, and Linguini with chicken parmesan. Fan favorites were Michael M.’s guacamole and Ellie T.’s cake.
Sixty-two seniors came together to enjoy the night, with Ms. Izokaitis and Dean Thompson watching over. Much of the setup was similar to Thanksgiving event, with the food on the Fireside counter on a long family-style table and a dessert table in the middle. Some students played games, yet most of the class spent their time conversing with their peers.
The senior student council and the class of 2025 have outdone themselves with this event, and we will see events they plan for their final weeks.
