This week was a busy week for boys and girls bowling as they faced Olentangy Orange on Friday, January 17, Bexley on Tuesday, January 21, and Olentangy Liberty on Thursday, January, 23. The girls team also had an additional game against Franklin Heights on Friday, January, 24.
The boys team lost to Olentangy Orange 2205 to 1658 yet beat Bexley 1679 to 1177, gaining their first win of the season. The Vikings brought this newfound confidence into the next game, beating Liberty 1652 points to 1367.
Against Orange, Craig E. led the team with 363, and Phinn B.M. scored 288. Mark D. knocked down 286 pins, and Nathan M. added 257. Jon P. and Xander H-V.R. totaled 213 together. The Vikes added 278 pins in the baker game.
Mark D. had his best game against Bexley, leading with 333 pins. Craig E. followed, scoring 319, and Nathan M. added 264. Phinn B.M. tallied 261, and Xander H-V.R. knocked down 218. The team added 284 in the baker game.
The girls team fell to Olentangy Orange 1375 to 938 and to Bexley, 1441 to 1083. They also lost to Liberty 1329 to 1213 and to Franklin Heights 1140 vs.1077.
Against Orange, Sophie F. led with 261. Emma M. and Lynn Y. added 201 and 174 respectively. Kaito M. scored 166. The Vikes added 133 pins in the baker game.
Emma M. scored 268 against Bexley and Morgan L. scored 250. Sophie F. added 221 and Lynn Y. tallied 152 pins. The team added 192 points in the baker game.
The Vikings play Wellington on Monday, January 27, at Bowlero Columbus.
