On Thursday, January 16, the girls swim team hosted Bishop Hartley and Wellington for its first meet of the week. The Vikings crushed the Jaguars 100-28 but fell 74-115 against the Hawks. Olivia L. and Maddie E. dominated, earning first place in the 200 IM and 200-yd free, respectively. 

On Friday, the girls travelled north to Canton for a Saturday morning meet. Academy was one of the 67 teams to compete in the Northeast Classic Finals. The Vikes tallied 59, resulting in a 14th place finish. Olivia L. led the team, contributing 20 points to the total score.

Looking ahead, the girls will host the Central Buckeye League meet on Saturday, January 25, in preparation for their post season.
