Girls Soccer Earns Second Place In The District

On Tuesday, October 22, Academy’s girls soccer team hosted Buckeye Valley for its first tournament match of the season. Haidi S. led the Vikings in scoring with two goals, and Allison F. and Harper B-M. added one goal each. Academy’s defense held strong, holding Buckeye Valley attackers to a shutout, helping Academy win 4-0. 

Girls soccer ended its season on Saturday, October 26, against Worthington Christian, losing 2-1. Haidi S. led the scoring for the Vikings, being the only player to notch a goal.

Academy ended its season with a 14-6 record, its best showing since 2019. Haidi S. led Academy with 33 goals and 16 assists. The girls will need some rebuilding in the fall, with 11 seniors off the team.
